Job Description

As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible to prepare and sort documents for data entry, entering data into database software and checking to ensure the accuracy of the data that has been inputted, resolving discrepancies in information and obtaining further information for incomplete documents, responding to information requests from employees and customers, and entering product and shipping information into related software. This position is not available to work remotely, and is based out of our headquarters in Wheat Ridge, CO.

Responsibilities

• Must have strong skills in reading and speaking English
• Ability to enter data efficiently, timely and without mistakes in order to meet deadlines
• Verify data by comparing it to source documents
• Update existing data
• Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
• Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
• Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners
• Enter data into Quickbooks accounting software
• Type in data provided directly from customers paper files

Requirements:

• Proven experience as data entry clerk
• Accurate typing skills
• 40 WPM or faster
• Knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets: Microsoft Office Word, Excel is required
• Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
• Basic understanding of databases
• Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills.
• Great attention to detail.

Education:

• High school degree or equivalent.
