Community Unit School District 308 is a public school district based in Oswego, Illinois, United States. It serves the communities of Montgomery, Plainfield, Oswego, and nearby unincorporated areas of Kane County. The district is located in the center of the Fox Valley, approximately fifty miles west of downtown Chicago and fifteen miles west of Aurora, Illinois. As of 2018, the district serves over 14,700 students from preschool through twelfth grade, making it the 11th largest school district in the state. The district consists of 19 elementary schools, five middle schools, four high schools, and three alternative schools. Along with providing education, the district also offers many extracurricular activities, such as clubs, athletics, music programs, and visual arts.
