The National Library Board (NLB) is Singapore’s largest public library system. It was established in 1995 to provide a unified library service to Singaporeans. NLB operates a network of 26 public libraries located throughout Singapore, as well as an e-library of over 300,00 items. The organisation is committed to powering lifelong learning and connecting people with knowledge and information. NLB provides access to library resources, services and programmes to promote reading, information literacy and lifelong learning. NLB also operates the national bibliography system, which includes the National Library, the Community Libraries, the Academic Libraries and the Public Library Network. NLB is also involved in various international collaborations, such as the ASEAN Digital Library, Future Library and Singapore Discovery Centre.
