This advertisement is for recruiting for the position of Food and Nutrition Science cum Admin Aide.

If successfully selected, you will be seconded to a MOE Secondary School located in Bukit Batok.

Contract Period : From 1 September 2023 to 31 August 2024

Option Period : For 1 year (1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025)

Personnel To Be Deployed At The Following Hours

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00am to 4:00pm, inclusive of ½ hr lunch break. Reporting time might be brought forward during exams/test periods.
• Fridays: 7:00am to 3.30pm, inclusive of ½ hr lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.

The Services Required Are Set Out As Follows

• Assist Nutrition and Food Science (NFS) teachers in the preparation of ingredients, equipment in the kitchen for practical lessons.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Food Laboratories and Preparation Room which includes mopping of floors and positioning of chairs and tables when necessary, cleaning of refrigerator, labelling and tidying of raw ingredients that are not used a the end of the week, washing and drying kitchen hand towels, and tidying up kitchen tools and equipment.
• Assist in receiving food orders from supplier and storing food ingredients in the correct storage.
• Assist teachers to maintain safety during F&N (Food and Nutrition) and FCE (Food Consumer Education) lessons.
• To be with FNS teachers at all times during their lessons.
• Maintain general cleanliness and tidiness of the two Art Rooms and Art Store Rooms weekly.
• To be at the school’s General Office to relief the GO during GO meetings. To assist the Administration Manager (AM) in light duties or when the school’s OSO is on leave,
• Perform any other duties assigned by the AM and other school’s management personnel.

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• at least 2 years experience in the above stipulated Job Roles/Required Services
• preferable Lower Secondary Education
• able to converse and read in English
• good attitude and a team-worker
• and able and willing to perform and multi-task
