Job Description: Retail Sales Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist customers in finding and purchasing products, provide exceptional service, and contribute to the overall success of our retail store. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, restocking merchandise, and ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide them with assistance in locating products or answering their queries
• Offer product knowledge and recommendations to customers based on their needs and preferences
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Maintain a neat and organized sales floor, ensuring that merchandise is properly displayed and stocked
• Monitor inventory levels and inform the management team when replenishment is needed
• Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and seek appropriate resolutions
• Assist in the implementation of sales and promotional activities to meet or exceed targets
• Keep up-to-date with product information, pricing, and promotions
• Collaborate with team members to achieve individual and store-wide sales goals
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including loss prevention and safety guidelines

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is a plus
• Proven experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic math skills and proficiency in using a point-of-sale (POS) system
• Knowledge of products in the retail industry and a passion for staying updated with current trends
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
