The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our shipping operations, handling administrative tasks, and providing translation services from English to Chinese.
- Shipping Operations:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of shipping processes, including arranging transportation, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of shipping activities.
- Monitor and track shipments, addressing any delays or issues that may arise.
- Communicate with suppliers, customers, and freight forwarders to gather necessary information and resolve shipping-related inquiries.
- Administrative Support:
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining filing systems.
- Assist in scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and managing calendars.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
- Manage office supplies and ensure proper inventory levels.
- Provide accurate and timely translation services from English to Chinese for various documents, including emails, reports, contracts, and product descriptions.
- Ensure translations maintain the intended meaning, tone, and context of the original text.
- Proofread and edit translated materials for accuracy and linguistic quality.
- Fluency in English and Chinese languages, both written and spoken so to communicate with Chinese speaking clients.
- Proven experience in shipping operations, administration, and translation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation and translations.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and translation tools/software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in the shipping or logistics industry.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures.
