Job Description

  • Accurately measuring meal components for the station chef
  • Preparing, plating and presenting culinary items as directed by the station chef
  • Receiving deliveries and ensuring that all requested products are of high quality and arrive on schedule
  • Preparing simple condiments, salads and sauces
  • Performing basic cleaning chores and thoroughly sanitising all workstations
  • Assisting in inventory management by taking stock of supplies and notifying the restaurant’s purchasing manager of any low and depleted supplies
  • Disposing of all expired food items
  • Assisting in meal preparation, such as peeling, cutting and washing fruits and vegetables and seasoning different meats

Requirements

  • 1 year of related experience preferred
  • Passion to work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive attitude
