Job Description

We are an Indian restaurant looking for a chef who is experienced in North Indian vegetarian dishes.

The Right Candidate Will Have The Following Qualities

  • Minimum 2 years of experience and extensive knowledge in North Indian vegetarian cuisine.
  • Experience in Tandoor dishes.
  • Must be able to operate kitchen efficiently and supervise a team of staff.
  • Experience with managing a kitchen and bulk cooking for large orders will have preference.
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of a variety of dishes.
  • Keep track of all inventory, recipes and ensure quality of food is always at its best.
  • In charge of Menu Planning and Conceptualisation ensuring variety and quality.
  • Controlling and Directing the food preparation process.
  • Approving and Polishing dishes before they reach the customer.
  • Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels.
  • Determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering.
  • Ultimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines.
  • Ensuring safety of all kitchen staff.
  • Creating and managing duty roster for all kitchen staff.
  • Ensuring proper packaging of all food taken away by customers.
  • Any Ad Hoc duties as assigned by the management.
