Job Description

A new Category Manager job opportunity has become available at an F&B company in Singapore.

About The Category Manager Role

This role reports to the Senior Category Manager and will allow the successful candidate to work closely with all business-critical teams across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver clear and competitive category strategies to maximise cost savings
  • Develop sourcing and risk management strategies while mitigating supply risk
  • Be the subject-matter expert for assigned categories
  • Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations
  • Manage effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop detailed cost structure and pricing protocol for each product category
  • Present at meetings as required

To be successful within this Category Manager role, you will need strong strategic sourcing background with experience within the QSR/FMCG industry being advantageous.

Key Requirements

  • Tertiary degree in Procurement/Supply Chain is preferred
  • Three or more years of experience in a category management role, preferably within the QSR/FMCG/F&B industry
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic and tactical sourcing
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent self-starter with strong business acumen
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, Data/Trend Analysis)
